The Lucy was a Dutch Trawler carrying a cargo of calcium carbide  when she ran aground and drifted to a position north of skomer island where she sank in 40m of water on 14th February 1967.

Her captain and crew of 7 abandoned ships to avoid her toxic cargo used to make acetylene gas.

The following images is showing the engine room access and life on the mast taken by Steve Clarkson in the 70's. The spare bronze propeller was visible in the 70's but has since been recovered by divers.






Today the wreck can be found in position 50.44.27N, 5.16.33W  and is upright and is always a dark dive.
